Monday at the Snapdragon Summit in Maui, Qualcomm unveiled its new flagship mobile SoC – the Snapdragon 8 Elite – which is powered by the company’s 2nd-gen Oryon CPU cores. Qualcomm flew TechRadar to Maui to check out the latest chips, and I managed to track down some surprises that will soon delight mobile gamers.

Asus just confirmed the launch date for its upcoming ROG Phone 9 and we are getting the device in the US way earlier than initially expected.

Asus has announced that its much-anticipated ROG Phone 9 series will be two of the first smartphones with the freshly announced flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset. The ROG Phone 9 and ROG Phone 9 Pro (assumed devices) will officially arrive with the powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite,

The Asus ROG Phone 8 which was released earlier in the year also came with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, coupled with 12GB of RAM and a 6.78- inch AMOLED screen. Therefore, if the ROG Phone 9 leans into those trends (and perhaps takes them up a notch), gamers are going to be quite happy.

ASUS has announced that the ROG Phone 9 will launch on November 19. The gaming phone will be powered by the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. Beyond the obvious gaming features, with a tagline of “AI on, game on,” expect some significant AI capabilities.
