A Peoria woman was killed Sunday night in a head-on car crash with another vehicle in rural southern Illinois. Lyric Irby, 18, was pronounced dead at the scene at 6:10 p.m. after her 2016 Honda Accord collided head-on with a 2010 Ford Edge while she was driving southbound in the northbound lane along Illinois Route 13/127 south of Vergennes in Jackson County.
