South Dakota Gov. Larry Rhoden invited President Donald Trump to celebrate the country's 250th birthday with fireworks at Mount Rushmore next year.

In August 2024, former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi suggested that Trump's predecessor Joe Biden could be added to Mount Rushmore while citing his achievements during his time in office. The suggestion was widely mocked and criticized by MAGA figures.

Florida Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna introduced a bill to carve President Donald Trump into Mount Rushmore alongside four other presidents.
