Another day, another honor for Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart. Dart, who remains in prime position to lead Ole Miss to the College Football Playoff in 2024, was named one of 16 national finalists for the 2024 William V.

The National Football Foundation and College Football Hall of Fame announced the 16 finalists for the William V. Campbell Trophy – commonly known as the "Academic Heisman" – on Wednesday.

Lane Kiffin's Ole Miss football program had a Heisman Trophy candidate in Jaxson Dart but the LSU Tigers dashed those hopes in Death Valley.

Many OU fans have been familiar with Dart since before his freshman year at USC. He came out of Corner Canyon High School in Draper, UT, as the Gatorade National Player of the Year after throwing for 4,691 yards and a state record 67 touchdowns with just four interceptions and also rushing for 1,195 yards and 12 TDs.
