No casting or plot details have been announced yet, but Drop Dead Diva creator Josh Berman is writing the next chapter and executive producing with David Greenwalt and Jim Kouf, the co-creators, executive producers and showrunners of the original series.

After leaving the land of the living more than seven years ago, Grimm is planning a resurrection. The fan-favorite supernatural series made a name for itself on NBC’s Friday night lineup, overcoming the odds on the lowest-rated day of the week to become a long-running staple for NBCUniversal’s network.

As first reported by Deadline, Peacock is producing a film adaptation of “Grimm.” From 2011 to 2017, the NBC drama starred David Giuntoli as Nick Burkhardt: a detective who learns he has descended from a bloodline of people who hunt supernatural forces.
