Israel continued its operations in Gaza and Lebanon after Hamas leader and Oct. 7, 2023 attack mastermind Yahya Sinwar was killed in a firefight.

An Israeli airstrike late Monday in Beirut night destroyed several buildings across the street from the country’s largest public hospital, killing 18 people and wounding at least 60 others. The Israeli military said it struck a Hezbollah target, without elaborating, and said that it hadn’t targeted the hospital itself.

Lebanon state media said Israel strikes on Wednesday pounded Beirut's southern suburbs, including a vacated office belonging to pro-Iran broadcaster Al-Mayadeen, as the Israel-Hezbollah war hit its one-month mark.
