FORT COLLINS — Colorado State doesn’t care how ugly it looks, a win is a win. Even in a game in which the Rams were outgained by over 100 yards, they still managed to continue their winning ways with a 17-6 homecoming victory over New Mexico that improves them to 5-3 on the season and 3-0 in the Mountain West.

Those expecting a plethora of points Saturday afternoon at Canvas Stadium were no doubt surprised, if not disappointed. But Colorado State did what it needed to do, made the key plays, and beat New Mexico 17-6 to keep its Mountain West Conference title hopes alive.
