Temple I is part of the Gran Plaza complex. It's a very imposing structure, one of the images featuring Tikal's iconic pictures. Climbing the temple is prohibited. Full review by Ron S

Located on the Gran Plaza it's a famous edifice featuring most of iconic Tikal pictures. You can climb to the upper platform. The wooden staircase is located in the back of the pyramid. Full review by Ron S

Hi, I suggest you buy Avon Skin So Soft Bug Guard Plus Mosquito Repellent Picaridin Towelettes. They come in packets with several towelettes that everyone in your party can carry. This was my second trip to the region and I was never had a problem with any bugs. PS if you are interested pick up a copy of The Maya 9th edition by Coe for some background research.
