If you want my idea the carpets must have enough information one by one. As being an Iranian visitor the culture and the story of the carpets are sensible but I think for a tourist there must be a full understanding and information in such a way that why the carpets are important and valuable which are kept in museum.

Well you can read information until the cows come home IF that floats your boat .All the technical and historical stuff is on the web or in the library . However IF you want the general interesting information you go to one of their private auctions . They go through 30 carpets and all different and give you the sales pitch hoping you wiil bid when they do the reverse sale and SELL . This is a wonderful experience.... and you do not have to buy but need to be strong and able to say NO .IF you buy then be very diligent with the card details and keep your receipt and warranty as I found some little person tried to diddle me by changing the sales docket ... I won but it was a tough fight so be careful always when in a foreign country ..
