This museum offers such a varied range of exhibits. It is well set out and there is something for everyone. Great place to spend a couple of hours. Definitely worth visiting. Full review by Tazz21

A couple hours at least. There is a traveling exhibit which requires tickets with a set time so if you plan on doing that, probably a little longer. There's 2 endless floors of art and honestly- I wouldn't rush bc it really is an interesting place to visit.
There are docents all over the museum and they are extremely knowledgeable about the art work. I do believe that there are tours but you should check the website to confirm.
Is it kid friendly? Never been and have a 2 and 4 year we old.

Friendliest during special events, such as Art in Bloom, when they have targeted activities for children. The rest of the time I would say not so much, like any adult art museum.

General admission is free (covered by our local Zoo-Museum District tax on property) to view the very extensive permanent collections. Fees are charged for special exhibitions only. You can also park nearby for free on either of two small surface lots along the front of the Museum, or in designated parking spots along several of the Forest Park roadways. If you can't find free parking open when you arrive, the Museum does have a connected parking structure with a fee.
