Has there ever been anywhere with so many gloriously elegant buildings in one site? Obviously rebuilt after 1945 and original materials used wherever possible, there are bullet holes everywhere. An u…Full review by Considered R

I'm a big history buff and excited to make Museum Island a big highlight in my upcoming trip to Berlin. I'm trying to get my head around how much time to allocate to each for planning purposes. Are all of the museums a similar size? Or are some much smaller than others? I'm more familiar with museums like the British Museum and the Metropolitan, so trying to gauge my expectations of time needed based on the couple of days I spent at each of those.

We didn’t go in the museums either. We did walk around the outside of some of them. There are loads of boat trips that travel past the museums and think that would be a good compromise. Enjoy your visit. A great city to see. Find forget to book the Reichstag in advance. That is brilliant.

How about Old National galery and Old (Greek, Roman, Etruscan art) museum? The info about what is and is not open is very murky. I appreciate your help.
