And then, you can take a ferry or bus to Bergen. Bergen is a small city and cozy. Then,you can take train Bergen to Oslo again. Note: If you don't want to visit Bergen, then you take the same route Flåm- Myrdal - Oslo.
Is a compartment comfortable enough for 3 adults, a 14, 10 and 9 year old for 3.5hrs? Our friends have booked a compartment ‘suitable for 6 people’ for their family of 4 (2A & 2C) from Geilo to Bergen. We will be on the same train and in theory could join them, adding another adult and child. However, although it says it accommodates 6 people, is this likely to be quite a squeeze for the 3.5hr journey? Thanks.

Your compartment is located at wagon 5 and its pretty near from luggage area,toilet and cafeteria. You can close the sliding door and curtain for extra privacy. It's a good choice for you since you under 9 years old children. Check the Vy website for more information. I hope it help.

Hei, They are the same train. Train 62 normally travel via Sandvika, Asker, and Drammen but, maybe due to future plan work/maintenance/project at Drammen line they closed it. Therefore, train 62 will travel via Roa, they called it 80062, and it will depart from Oslo S directly to Hønefoss.
