Castro is a municipality in the state of Paraná in the Southern Region of Brazil. In 2020 it had a population of 71,809 people. The main road running through the town is the PR-151 road. The first inhabitants were the indigenous people in the region before the city was discovered, Castro was discovered on 19 March 1704, and it became municipality in 1857. In the 1930s, the largest European Immigration happened, they were Dutch, Russians, Italians and Ukrainians.
