Sorry I am just now seeing this. My answer may be too late. It has been a while since I logged in to TA. We didn't eat any meals in homes. We stayed at the Berlin Grande Hotel. They have large rooms at pretty reasonable rates, so you could sleep 2 or even 4 to a room without spending a lot. Sorry I don't have any information on meals in a home. I hope you have (or had) a great visit. The country side there is beautiful.
Q:
How much time should we allow for the tours and buggy ride?
A:
The tour is around 40 mins, the buggy ride is around 15 mins. It is not crowded the time I went, therefore, there is no waiting. I think you should budget 1.5 hrs for this place.
Q:
Where do you sign up for the Yoder's Amish Home tour and will tours be given in October 2016?
A:
When we went, there was no reservation needed. Just drive there and pay admission in gift shop. Not sure about October schedule.
